How Well Do We Know The Judge and Prosecutors?
Hunter and I know the judge and prosecutors of Collin, Dallas and Denton counties very well. More importantly, THEY KNOW US! As former prosecutors, we have worked closely with many of the judges that may hear your case. In addition, many of the prosecutors either worked with Hunter and I, went to law school with one of us, or have had multiple cases against us. Because of these factors, we are very familiar with the habits and tendencies of the local judges and prosecutors. This DOES NOT mean that we will necessarily get you a better deal than another attorney, but it does mean we will be able to better advise you on how to handle your case based on our knowledge of either the prosecutor or the judge.
Our Trial Experience
Although our prior experience as prosecutors is valuable to our clients, a more important advantage is our trial experience. Hunter and I have close to 200 trials EACH of experience in the local counties. That is a lot of actual trial experience. Last year alone, we tired over 60 trials to verdict. Most defense attorney will have less that 10 trial per year and will not have 60 trials in 5 or even 10 years. Because of our trial experience, and the success we have in trials, local judges and prosecutors are aware of our reputation as experience, tough trial attorneys. This reputation gives our clients a tremendous advantage of other people who hire attorneys that the State KNOWS will not set a case for trial.
